The National Weather Service reported at least two separate “large and extremely dangerous” tornadoes south of Dallas and Fort Worth.
There have been a few tornadoes touch down around the Dallas Metroplex today. One that struck in Arlington, Texas was caught on video tossing 18 Wheelers around like play toys. Major damage has been reported around the DFW area, including a nursing home destroyed in Arlington.
Another round of severe weather is possible across the Four States Area again today. Yesterday several trees were blown down on homes in the area including one in Nash Texas just outside Texarkana.

Once again the National Weather Service is predicting a deluge of rain to hit the area later today thru Wednesday. Forecasts call for a chance of 6 to 8 inches of rain across a large portion of the Four States Area including Texarkana. Isolated spots across portions of the area could see up to 10 inches in the next few days...
There is a good chance that we will be getting some pretty significant rainfall over the next couple of days. Here are a couple of maps with forecasts for the potential of both severe weather, and heavy rainfall thru Wednesday.
Heavy rains are expected in the Ark-La-Tex thru this weekend, with 6 to 8 inches possible in the Texarkana area. The heaviest of the rains are expected in two waves with the first dropping into the area Thursday night.
