September 11, 2012 Roman is a Boxer Mix, 1 1/2 years old, 63 lbs, long tail, brindle and just lots of love to share. His ears will make you laugh as one with stand up and the other one won’t or they flop over and look funny. He loves kids, cats, big and small dogs, and just anyone who will pay attention to him.
September 4, 2012 The Animal Care and Adoption Center is holding a special adoption event all through the month of September for those that are 55 years of age or older. No adoption fee for seniors in September.
September 4, 2012 Sox is 2 years old, 45 pounds and believed to be a Beagle-Sheppard mix. Sox loves other dogs, toys, walks and being loved. He is crate and potty trained. Sox is neutered, update-to-date on vaccinations, has a micro chip and is on monthly heartworm prevention with flea control.

August 28, 2012 David is a little over 1 year old. He is already neutered. He is very sweet, loves affection, plays and listens well. He looks like a shepherd mix but he is only 20 pounds. He would make a great inside/outside dog for the entire family and will be good with kids. David is good with other dogs too!
August 27, 2012 Diana Slider has been an Animal Control Officer for Texarkana, Texas, for 10 years. She is set to retire her catch pole on Friday, August 31, 2012. Diana has a big heart for animals and her service to those furry critters will be missed.
Diana and I have been on a few adventures together. I was sad to hear she was retiring.

August 21, 2012 Rocky is approximately 5 years old. He appears to be a purebred Rottweiler. Rotties are extremely loyal, very family friendly and great guard dogs.

August 14, 2012 Bear looks like a mix of shepherd and Bernese Mountain Dog. Approximately one year old and 75 to 80 pounds. He will probably get a bit bigger. Very sweet and walks well on a leash. Very smart and a quick learner.
Bear has been at the shelter since May and is really in need of a permanent home.
August 9, 2012 The Animal Care and Adoption Center is holding a special adoption event. Anyone that is 55 years or older will have their adoption fee waived this Saturday, August 11, 2012.
August 7, 2012 Foster is a young adult dog. Looks to be a little over one year old. He is adorable! Very sweet and walks well on a leash. He likes to drag his belly across the grass because it feels good.
