Provide a Pet a Pad Tuesday

Tinker is a sweet little dog that has been at the animal shelter for a very long time and he is running the risk of being put to sleep. Please share his information to help him find a home before it is too late.

The animal shelter in Texarkana, Ark., often faces issues of having enough space for all of the animals coming in. In recent weeks, the shelter was full and had to put animals to sleep to make room for all of the new owner surrenders and strays coming in daily. Please share these videos of the dogs at the shelter. Tess is a hound that has been at the animal shelter for almost one year, which is a very long time. She is a dark color so maybe people just haven't seen her. She loves to be outside and often is on the other side of the wall when people walk through the shelter. She needs some sharing and caring to get her out before it is too late. She is great with dogs and very friendly.

Twix is a sweet, medium sized dog that has a great disposition. She walks great on a leash and has a very quiet demeanor. She came to the shelter pregnant and gave birth to 12 babies in one of the kennels. None of the babies lived. So now Twix is looking for a fresh start.

Sweet Lady J is a cattle dog mix. She walks great on a leash, knows sit and down too. She is a wonderful dog with a fabulous sweet disposition. Watch the video where she is put through the paces. It looks as though she knows hand commands.

Tawny is living proof that having a rough life doesn't mean you come with a rough personality. She greeted me with a smile and tail wagging. She came to the front of the kennel and wanted to be pet and stood very still for me to take a video and a few pics. She appears to have recently had a litter of pups. Spike is a happy go lucky dog. When he first arrived at the shelter he didn't know much about love and people. He had spent his entire life on a chain and used as a breeding dog. Now he has a bed and shelter. He loves watching people walk by and lights up when they stop to talk to him. His adoption fee is $40.

Malorie is an Old English Sheepdog. She is young and very puppish. She loves to romp around and play with a toy. She rolls over for belly rubs. There wasn't any barking yesterday, just playing. She walks good on a leash, too. Malorie gets along well with other dogs.

Molly is a very young Lab mix. She was a stray that wandered up to a local resident's house and stayed for several weeks. Her tag shows her name is Molly and she had previously lived at an apartment in Jonesboro, Ark. She is a smaller sized dog but may grow a bit bigger. She walks fantastic on a leash and responds well to commands.
