Turbo is a mix of an English bulldog and a mountain cur, which makes him a very interesting dog. He is approximately 1 and-a-half years old. He has a wonderful personality and loves his people.
This sweet shepherd mix is between one and two years old. She is very frightened to be at the shelter and would do so much better if she was in a home. She walks great on a leash and appears to be very healthy. She loves affection.
Alfie is just a brown dog and that is what caught my eye because I knew he would be passed over for more colorful dogs but this is what I learned about him yesterday. He is calm, sweet, smart and respectful. He also appears to be house trained.
Blaze is still at the animal shelter! He is so sweet and such a calm, loving dog. It is hard to believe that no one has adopted him yet. I hope you will help us find him a home or possibly find someone interested in sponsoring him so we can buy extra time to find a home for sweet Blaze.
This sweet girl looks to be a fairly young adult that is mixed with Rottweiler, Labrador and Shepherd. She is incredibly fabulous on a leash. She walked so calmly out of the shelter while all of the other dogs were barking and bouncing at the gate. She was great!
There were so many great dogs at the shelter when I went to visit this week that I couldn't just pick one. There were two hounds that had been surrendered by their owner. There was a sweet German Shepherd that was surrendered after she had already been spayed. Then I couldn't resist this gorgeous Great Pyrenees dog.
Shelby is a very sweet, laid back cat that is at our animal shelter in Texarkana. She has been sponsored by a caring person which means that her adoption fee is only $20. Her sponsor has paid for all of her vetting!
This sweet brindle girl is looking for a home with kids that want to play or an adult that is a kid at heart. She is adorable and will be a lot of fun as well as very smart. She doesn't have a mean bone in her body. She likes to play ball, not necessarily fetch but she can learn real fast.
Foxy is a Corgi at the animal shelter in Texarkana. She is a beauty! Sweet, calm and a good listener. All the traits most of us are looking for in a companion but she has four legs instead of two. Bonus - she will always be happy to see you when you get home no matter how late it is.
This adorable puppy is our featured shelter pet this week for Provide a Pet a Pad. She is an adorable mixed pup that has a unique coloring and will probably be a medium size dog. She likes to play and will even fetch the ball...eventually. Ha! She can learn quickly to bring the ball to you. She likes to play with children and as you can see by these photos, she is not very big right now.
