This is Spartacus. He is ready for his new life to begin in his new home. You can adopt your next best friend this Saturday at Petsmart during the adoption event.

Our featured pet this week is a shepherd puppy named Dingo from the animal shelter in Texarkana. He is one smart pup, too. He already knows how to play fetch and even brings the ball to you. He would make a great family pet. He isn't too rough for young children either. I would estimate his age at 3 months. This boy is an adorable, smart and fun puppy. You better scoop him up quickly.

It is puppy and kitten season in Texarkana, which means tons of litters are being dumped at our animal shelter. You can adopt a pet from the shelter right now and the fees to pay to spay and neuter, vaccinate and microchip your new pet will be paid for by the Texarkana Friends of the Shelter.

Raddy is between 1 and 2 years old. He is a hound mix. Raddy is a happy-go-lucky dog. He likes to play and romp. You can adopt him for just $40, which includes his vetting.

The second annual Fur Ball is this Saturday in Texarkana. The funds raised will benefit our local animal shelter, the Animal Care and Adoption Center, in Texarkana, Ark.

This litter of puppies is in trouble. Last week there were four babies; yesterday there were only three. A shelter is not a good place for babies to be raised. This family needs out ASAP. Are you interested in fostering?

Angelica is our featured shelter pet this week. She is a little over 1 year old and is a mixed breed dog. It looks like she may have some Lab in her but her size is much smaller than the typical Lab. Angelica loves to play fetch and give dog kisses.
