Maud ISD utilizes a crosswalk on SH 8 for students walking from nearby neighborhoods to come to school each day.

It's almost time for the 2020 University of Arkansas Hope-Texarkana commencement ceremony. It will be a virtual event and it will take place on Tuesday, August 4 at 6PM.

It's official, Arkansas public schools will begin the 2020-2021 school year the week of  August 24. The school year was originally planned to being August 13 but Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson announced during his daily press conference that school will be delayed almost two weeks and will begin August 24 and no later than August 26.

Southern Arkansas University is now approved to offer the Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in Rural and Diverse Educational Leadership according to a recent decision by its regional accreditor, the Higher Learning Commission.

This year graduates at Southern Arkansas University are set to walk the stage and receive their diplomas after accomplishing their achievements this past May. SAU announced that it will hold Summer Commencement ceremonies at Wilkins Stadium on August 7 and August 8 with some special considerations for gathering.
