Looking for fun things to do in Texarkana during the holiday break? We never know what the weather is going to be during the Winter months so having an idea of fun stuff to do indoors is a good plan.
Do you have the best decorated house in Texarkana? Send in photos to prove it and we’ll feature the best ones in a story on our website and on social media. The best decorated house will win an Explorascope Telescope to bring the stars closer.
I had a friend who used to be so particular about putting her Christmas tree up the day after Thanksgiving and taking it down on New Year’s Day, except one year when she left it up until February. Of course, I can’t say much because I left my un-decorated tree in the corner of my living room from December of last year until October of this year.
Can anyone top that?
As the holiday season is upon us, I want to talk about the Elf On The Shelf. John Williams had no idea what the elf was and I had to explain it to him.
We have children's names still on our Salvation Army Angel Tree at the radio station and Friday, December 9, is the new, extended deadline to drop off your toys for these kids at the Salvation Army.
Our Angel Tree at the radio station is still loaded with children's names and each name tag has the child's age, clothing and shoe sizes, a wish list and a needs list. You can give a special gift this Christmas to a local child in need who will otherwise go without socks, gloves, shoes and toys.
This year's Christmas Parade has been rescheduled to Tuesday due to the rainy weather expected today and tonight. The 32nd Annual Main Street Christmas Parade will be held Tuesday, December 6, at 7PM in downtown Texarkana.
Just pull off the name tag and hand it to someone else? Is that okay to do if you receive a gift basket that you don't want? There's no sense in re-wrapping it right, just change the name on the give and hand it to someone else. Is that okay?
I counted the children's names that are still hanging on our Salvation Army Angel Tree in the lobby of the radio station. Twenty-five children have no one purchasing toys or clothing for them this Christmas. December 6 is the deadline. Can you help?
