This sweet cat has been a great helper at the animal shelter in Texarkana. She has been at the shelter for a year and during that period of time, she has helped raise many litters of orphaned kittens. Now it is her turn for a happy home.

If you will share Little Girl’s video, I’m sure we can find her a great home where she can relax and get to enjoy being a cat. She has spent an entire year giving back to the community by saving litters of kittens that would have otherwise died without her nurturing mothering. When a litter would show up at the shelter without a mother or even when they had a mother but she couldn’t care for her babies, Little Girl stepped in to take over.

Little Girl is a very sweet and affectionate cat. She is a young adult. She likes to keep her area neat and clean so you won’t find litter scattered all over.

Cats, dogs, kittens and puppies are euthanized every week in our local shelter. It is up to the community to prevent it. Spay and neuter your pets. Volunteer to help educate citizens about the need to fix their animals.

The shelter's adoption fees range from $40 to $144, depending on the gender and size of the animal or whether they have been spayed or neutered yet. You can also have your pet microchipped for only $20 at the shelter. That way if your pet is ever lost, he or she can be returned to you quickly.

The Animal Care and Adoption Center is located at 203 Harrison St., Texarkana, Ark., 71854 and is open Monday through Friday from 11AM and 5PM and Saturdays from 11AM to 2PM.
