Cardi B might currently be the big (wo)man on campus, but she still remembers where it all started. The Bronx rapper recently visited her old elementary school in Washington Heights in New York City to see the children and reunite with her old teacher.

The surprise visit occurred a couple weeks ago, according to TMZ, who obtained photos of Bardi's presence at P.S. 128 Audubon on Saturday (Nov. 24). The "Bodak Yellow" rapper, who attended the school from first-grade through third-grade, popped in during lunch time. During the visit, she caught up with her first-grade teacher, Yvette Coporan and posed for pics.

Cardi definitely remembers where she came from and who helped get her there. In other Bardi-related news, the rapper recently bought her mother her dream home. She showed off the posh digs on Instagram last week.

“Stay down till you come up !” Cardi captioned her IG tour of the pad. “Its always been a dream to buy my mother a house .Last year i was so thirsty to buy my mom a house but the ones i was interested for her weren’t at my price range .I worked and worked and now I’m here !! Thank you everybody who supported me to make my childhood dreams come true! Buy my momma a house !!.....don’t ask me for shit motherfuckers i got big girls bills.”

You can do stuff like that when your product is selling like hotcakes.
