Bruno Mars on Monday evening premiered his new single, "Locked Out Of Heaven," on YouTube. The 1980s-flavored tune, which goes on sale at all digital retailers Tuesday, is off his upcoming album, Unorthodox Jukebox.

Bruno himself introduced the single by noting that he worked on it with his collaborators for two or three months.

After the song was streamed, Bruno answered questions submitted by fans via Google and Facebook. When asked about the inspiration behind the title of his new album, he said, "I think it represents my personality....I am all over the place and it is unorthodox how we write these songs and how we work."

Bruno also addressed his just-announced gig as host/musical guest of the October 20 edition of Saturday Night Live. He said, "First of all it's incredibly flattering, and you gotta have fun right? That sounds fun as hell."

Bruno revealed that he'll perform "Locked Out of Heaven" live for the first time on SNL.
