The race for the County Judge position in Bowie County in Northeast Texas is on for November.County Judge Sterling Lacy has had over 550 signatures verified by the elections administrator and will be on the November ballot. Lacy will be taking on Republican nominee James Carlow.

Carlow beat Jeff Akin in the primary in the spring. Lacy decided after Akin's defeat to run for re-election as an Independent. Lacy was elected in 2010 as a Republican. There is not Democratic candidate for the position.
