Bowie County Home Searched in Ricin Tainted Letter Case

 

The FBI and other law enforcement agencies are combing through a New Boston, Texas residence looking for possible clues and evidence in connection with ricin tainted letters sent to the President, and the New York City Mayor.The letters were postmarked May 20th out of the postal facility in Shreveport, Louisiana. The wife of the person of interest in the case reportedly called authorities after finding suspicious materials in their  refrigerator and internet searches on their computer.

Ricin is a highly toxic protein obtained from the pressed seeds of the castor-oil plant. the letters are being further analyzed in a specially equipped laboratory while law enforcement officials search for other letters.
