Do you believe in Bigfoot?

The Annual Bigfoot Festival and Conference in Honobia, Okla., is Friday, September 30 through Saturday, October 1.

I'm ready to check this festival out. My husband and I went to the area for some camping with a couple of my childhood friends. I love the Honobia area, which is located in the Kiamichi Mountains only about a 2.5 hour drive north northwest of Texarkana. I have been looking forward to this festival ever since I found out about it. Oh, and the picture above is an actual road sign. You just never know what you might see in this part of the country.

There's going to be fun for the whole family as we learn more about Bigfoot, plus find out about any new information or recent sightings. To set the mood, Friday night there will be a special showing of the movie Something In The Woods from director David Ford and producer Michael Hall.

Saturday morning will be the Bigfoot 5K/1 mile run. Registration begins Saturday morning at 8AM at Christ 40 Acres with the run at 9AM. Saturday during the day there will be live music, arts and crafts, games, a nature walk and more.

At 6PM both evenings will be the Bigfoot Encounters Storytelling around a campfire at the north edge of the campgrounds.

You can find places nearby to stay and camping information as well.

Honobia is located in the Kiamichi Mountains only about a 2.5 hour drive north northwest of Texarkana. The festival will take place at Christ 40 Acres at the intersection of the Indian Trail Highway and State Highway 144.
