Beyonce to Perform at Super Bowl Halftime

Beyonce's website seems to confirm reports that she'll be the halftime entertainment at the upcoming Super Bowl.

The "Countdown to Touchdown" post went up on Bey's website Tuesday, and shows her rocking red lipstick and two strips of eye black.  If you're not familiar, it's that stuff that football players smudge on their cheekbones to cut down on the glare from overhead stadium lights.

"Feb 3" is spelled out across one strip, with "2013" spelled out across the other.  February 3 is when Bey is set to rock the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans.  An official announcement is reportedly expected on Wednesday.

It's not Beyonce's first Super Bowl appearance.  In 2004, she performed the national anthem in her Houston hometown prior to the New England Patriots-Carolina Panthers contest.

Madonna was the halftime performer at this year's Super Bowl.
