We all know that zombies aren't real and there won't be a zombie apocalypse but if things changed and it were to happen, where would you want to be when it hit?

Keep in mind the need for food, shelter and resources necessary to survive such an event. Let's look into where the best places would be in Texarkana to hide during a zombie apocalypse.

One of the hospitals might be a good spot because of the multiple floors, beds for sleeping, medical supplies for injuries, rooms to stay in that would be easier to protect although most rooms only have one way in and out so that may not work but it is worth a shot anyway. Think about how good things were for the group that stayed at the prison on AMC's The Walking Dead. That place was awesome until the Governor blew it apart.

The need for guns, ammunition, knives and other weapons for protection against the dead ones means that being located near a pawn shop or one of the stores that sells such items would be of great benefit.

Scavenging for food and having a place to stockpile it leads me back to the multi-floor base idea. The food at restaurants will go back quickly after the power goes out so a store that sold packaged foods would be a good place to be near.

Remember the ice storm in 2000? I remember how happy it made my small group to be within walking distance of the liquor store. That's probably not something we'd want during a zombie apocalypse though because we need to stay alert to guard against attacks.

I feel like being north of Interstate 30 around the Richmond Road area would be the best option for surviving a zombie apocalypse in Texarkana. There are plenty of resources and options for a secured base location.
