With the live-action remake of Beauty and the Beast officially one of the most anticipated movies of next year, and a trailer that looks just like the original cartoon (except with, you know, real people) we’ve all been dying to know what they sound like singing those iconic songs. I, for one, am most excited for Luke Evans to belt “Gaston” with as much gusto as the song allows for (a lot), but a ton of other classics will make their way into the picture, from the furniture and cutlery ensemble number “Be Our Guest” to the theme “Beauty and the Beast.” There’s been no official soundtrack release yet, but today we’ve gotten our first listen to Emma Watson’s Belle singing her part of the movie’s opening number.

You might have to listen to it a couple times before your ears begin to recognize the song.

Obviously this recording is pretty terrible, since it’s taken from the Belle doll that seems to be hitting stores right now, but it sure sounds like the original!

And although the Instagram post says this is from “Something There,” Belle’s duet with the Beast when they both realize they actually maybe kinda like each other, it’s actually from the first song in the movie, “Belle.” This is the opening number, which is mostly all the townspeople singing about how weird they think Belle is because she… likes to read. In the cartoon, this line is sung when she’s sitting at the fountain in the town square, reading a passage of her favorite book to a bunch of sheep.

Director Bill Condon previously mentioned that the movie has retooled Belle a little bit — before, she was just this eccentric who loved literature, but in this version she’s also an inventor like her father was in the cartoon. It makes a lot more sense, as it’s more believable that someone obsessed with inventing weird contraptions would be considered weird, instead of someone who just liked to read a lot.

Beauty and the Beast hits theaters March 17, 2017.
