Dolly is a fun dog. Approximately 2 years old, 40 pounds. She loves to play and romp. She has that hound-dog bark too! She is crate-trained and working on housetraining. She great on a leash and loves to go for car rides. She makes you smile everytime she looks at you.

I love Mardi Gras season. It used to signify the beginning of crawfish season but I have since discovered that I can get crawfish as early as November if I am willing to travel south. I went to Mardi Gras in New Orleans a few years ago. Twice actually. It was a lot of fun. One trip was what I call the "Parade Route" because the entire 4 days was spent going to parade after parade.

A school board in Iowa is considering eliminating the A, B, C, D, and F grade system in their 6th, 7th and 8th grades and replacing them with "standards-based reporting" which means that students would be rated "beginning, developing, secure or exceeds" in 10 to 12 objectives per subject.
