A California native, I’ve lived on both coasts and lots of places in between. As a result, I’m pretty liberal in my viewpoints on life, have gathered a wide array of friends from vastly different backgrounds, and learned just how similar all of us really are as mankind. That’s why you’ll discover my stories tend to celebrate everyday people, their accomplishments and the amazing things they do to enrich their communities. When I’m not reporting or editing, I enjoy traveling, listening to great music, cooking up yummy eats and devouring smart books including suspense fiction and classics like my all-time favorite, Harper Lee’s ‘To Kill a Mockingbird.’ I love teaching, mentoring and working with young people. But my real passion is philanthropy, particularly when it comes to charities that help at-risk kids, the arts, literacy and nature conservation. I currently live with my wife in New England.
