You've never seen roller derby like this before.

Skates saved and donated from Skate America, Texarkana's 30-year-old local roller rink, have been given to local artists to transform into works of art to be viewed and auctioned at a local charitable event. The auction and fundraiser will be held Friday, October 2, from 6:30-8PM at the Cabe Hall Regional Arts Center located at 321 West 4th Street in Texarkana, Texas.

All money earned from the auction will go toward Arts on Main scholarships for under-served children.

TRAHC’s Arts on Main is a vibrant community education program for visual arts that provides courses in drawing, painting, clay, sculpture, theatre, photography, fiber arts, and more for children and adults. Everyone can be creative and the program offers something for every artistic level, from beginning classes for budding artists to advanced workshops for serious artists.

Taught by local and regional professional artists, classes at Arts on Main are a fun, easy way to learn new skills, meet people, and create individual art.

Come to the reception and place a bid for the works of art, hosted by the Quad State Derby Dames. Join your favorite derby girls for food, creativity, and a discussion of all things skate-related. Admission is free and refreshments will be provided.
