Area Lawmakers To Be Honored By Texas A&M

Two area lawmakers are to be honored today by Texas A&M officials.Texas A&M Chancellor John Sharp's "Friends of The Texas A&M University System Award" will be presented to Texas State Senator Kevin Eltife and State Representative George Lavender.

The event will be held this Thursday March 20 at 4:00 p.m. inside the Eagle Hall at Texas A&M-Texarkana. The University wishes to recognize Eltife and Lavender for their outstanding leadership in promoting the mission and growth of the local branch of the University System.

The awards will be presented by Mr. Tommy Wilson, Texas A&M University System's Vice Chancellor of Federal and State Relations.
