The Texas A&M University-Texarkana College of Business will host a 2016 Economic Outlook dinner next month

The event will happen on Thursday, March 24, inside the Eagle Hall of the University Center. There will be a reception at 5:30 p.m. Dinner begins at 6PM.

Speakers will include Dr. Thomas Siems, senior economist and director of economic outreach at the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas, and Jason Clanton, real estate agent/broker, with Curt Green and Company of Texarkana, Texas.

In his role with the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas, Dr. Siems gathers information on emerging trends and policy issues of interest to financial institutions in the region. He also oversees economic outreach efforts that provide additional opportunities to listen and learn from the region’s constituents.

Clanton, a graduate of the University of Texas and Pleasant Grove High School, has been a licensed real estate agent since 1998 and a real estate broker since 2000. Prior to joining Curt Green and Company, he spent seven years in the real estate mortgage industry working as regional manager for the second largest privately held mortgage wholesale company in the country. During his tenure, he was directly involved in funding more than $1.2 billion in residential loans.

“We are excited to bring Dr. Siems to Texarkana to share his insights about the local, regional and national economy in the coming year,” said Dr. Gary Stading, Dean of the A&M-Texarkana College of Business. “We’re also pleased to present Mr. Clanton, who will share his knowledge in the areas of finance and real estate. It is our hope that our local leaders who attend the dinner will use the speakers’ presentations to strengthen and develop their organizations.”

Tickets for the Economic Outlook dinner are $75 or $500 for a reserved table of eight.

Event sponsorships are available for $1,000 and include logo placement on all event materials and one table of eight.
