Adopt a Happy-Go-Lucky Beagle Mix Puppy From the Shelter

Chewbacca is a 1 year old Beagle mix puppy. He has a happy go lucky attitude and loves to play. He is already neutered too.

Chewbacca loves people and older kids. He is already house trained and has a great, interactive personality. He is favoring his back left leg so he'll need to be taken to the vet to have it looked at but the good thing is he doesn't let it slow him down and since he is already up to date on vaccinations and neutered, you won't be out that expense.

Chewbacca was surrendered to the shelter by his owner on July 26. The fact that he is neutered already is a plus but his leg issue is a negative. When the shelter gets full again, if Chewbacca is not adopted, he could be on the euth list. Dogs and cats are euthanized every week in our local shelter. Room quickly becomes an issue at shelters like ours because it is an open admission facility which means they take everything and cannot turn down animals. It is up to the community to prevent it. The Animal Care and Adoption Center is located at 203 Harrison St., Texarkana, Ark., 71854 and is open Monday through Friday from 11AM and 5PM and Saturdays from 11AM to 2PM.
