Talk about kicking when they're down. Earlier this season we were disheartened, albeit not altogether surprised to hear that ABC decided not to renew freshman dramas '666 Park Avenue' and 'Last Resort' for additional episodes, but now '666 Park Avenue' fans have even more reason to fear. ABC has pulled the supernatural spook-fest from its Sunday scheduling altogether, slotting in 'Happy Endings' and 'Don't Trust the B in Apartment 23,' instead, but why? And when will '666 Park Avenue' return?

Even more reason for '666 Park Avenue' fans to fear today, as ABC has reportedly pulled the Terry O'Quinn / Vanessa Williams-fronted drama from its Sunday schedule altogether. Instead, new episodes of 'Happy Endings' and 'Don't Trust the B in Apartment 23' will fill the void beginning Sunday, January 6 at 10:00 p.m.

Both comedies will also continue on in their regular Tuesday timeslots as well, affording double doses of each every week. The move is largely seen as an attempt to sample the comedies in uncharted timeslots, in the interest of building a larger audience.

On the plus side, ABC will likely air any remaining episodes of '666 Park Avenue' in the summer, burning off the remaining numbers of its 13-episode order. Meanwhile, fellow cancelled freshman drama 'Last Resort' will continue on in its Thursday timeslot, closing its run on January 24.

What say you? Were you enjoying '666 Park Avenue' enough to wait until summer for new episodes?
