5K Walk-Run for Meagan Mauldin Love for the Cure Fund

Sign up now for the Meagan Mauldin Love for the Cure event to be held on Saturday, Oct. 10. Run or walk to raise funds and celebrate the life and love of Meagan Mauldin. All proceeds raised will go to help cancer patients who need financial assistance during their treatment.

The 5k Run-Walk starts at 8AM on Saturday, Oct 10, with registration starting at 7AM. Join the fun at Spring Lake Park across from the airplane. T-shirts will also be available. Prizes will be awarded to winners in each age category. Entry forms may be found online.

Meagan was a very special, unique and extremely strong young lady. She lost her battle to cancer in 2012. Meagan took us on her journey and shared the tremendous struggles she faced during her illness yet she showed her strength as well as her belief in heaven and her love of God. For such a young person to teach so many of us about love, loss and hope is truly amazing. Meagan continues to give back through her Love for the Cure Fund.

Before Meagan left this world she told her mom that she didn't want to be forgotten. Meagan Mauldin's Love for the Cure Fund has helped cover $50,000 in expenses incurred by families battling cancer and has touched more than 200 people's lives. She has not been forgotten. Come celebrate Meagan's life and give to this worthy cause. There will be t-shirts and bracelets available to purchase. All proceeds go to cancer patients' medical, living and travel expenses.

If you would like to help out but cannot make the event, the Meagan Mauldin Love For The Cure Fund has been set up at Red River Credit Union in memory of Meagan for families fighting cancer who are in need of financial assistance.
