I was driving to get the kids from school and noticed that Larry's Pizza is moving into the old Johnny Carino's building. I then had a flashback to when Johnny Carino's was still here and all of the great dates I went on with my wife. I wished that it was still open.

On Wednesday, we asked you about businesses that should come back to Texarkana. The response was huge and I had the job of narrowing it down to 10. The results are in no particular order.

1. Luby's. The only location I remember is the one in the mall and it was the place to go on Sundays after church.

2. Charcoal Broiler. There were two locations of this Texarkana staple in the 70s and they were famous for their chicken fried steak.

3. Oliver Twist. This restaurant was on Arkansas Boulevard and as a kid it was the fancy place to go out to eat. Unfortunately, it burned down in the 80s.

4. A&W Restaurant. I never ate there but this place on Stateline Avenue was a big winner and we received lots of phone calls in the studio about this place on Wednesday.

5. Piccadilly Pizza. This small pizza place was actually in the old Shell Station on College  Road and Texas Boulevard.

6. Taco Tico. Taco Tico had three locations in Texarkana and who doesn't like their famous taco burgers?

7. Hushpuppy. This famous catfish place was on 71 North on the way to Ashdown. I actually worked there for a little while as a waiter and had a surprise birthday party there. I miss all of the old bamboo that they decorated the place with.

8. Bennigan's. The famous Irish eatery was just off the Interstate on the Arkansas side, and I have plenty of great memories of the wonderful and crazy St. Patrick day parties that were there. My guilty pleasure there was the Monte Cristo sandwich.

9. Mr. Gatti's Pizza. The first time I ever saw a true big screen tv was in Mr. Gatti's pizza on Stateline. It was also one of the first places I played video games.

10. Raleigh Burger. I only remeber two locations of this restaurant. One on Westlawn drive that is now Panda's Chineese and the one on Lake drive that is now Wayne's Family Restaurant.

Do you have any more we can add to the list?
